New CEO for ARAG Netherlands
Reza Atighi to Succeed Marc van Erven
The Board of Management of ARAG SE has appointed Reza Atighi as the new CEO of ARAG Netherlands in Leusden. He will take over the management of ARAG’s legal insurance business in the Netherlands. Reza Atighi will assume his new role on January 1, 2026, succeeding CEO Marc van Erven, who will retire at the beginning of the year.
Reza Atighi has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector in both the Netherlands and the UK. He held positions at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and ABN AMRO. Most recently, he served as CEO of Arrow Global Investments Holdings Benelux B.V. “We are delighted that Reza Atighi is continuing his successful career in the financial industry with ARAG. In the Netherlands, he will lead one of our largest international units in a highly competitive market,” says Dr. Renko Dirksen, CEO of ARAG SE. ARAG recently generated premium income of €205 million in the Netherlands and is one of the leading providers in the legal insurance segment.
After 26 successful years at the helm of ARAG Netherlands, CEO Marc van Erven will step down from management upon reaching retirement age. In recognition of his significant contributions to ARAG’s Dutch business and his longstanding expertise, Marc van Erven will continue to support the company in an advisory role during a transitional period. “The ARAG Group owes Marc van Erven a great debt of gratitude,” emphasizes Dr. Renko Dirksen. “As CEO, he has significantly expanded our business in the Netherlands and, with great energy and innovative spirit, shaped ARAG Netherlands into one of our most successful international units. His dedication to ARAG is exemplary.”
