ARAG plc achieves a hat-trick with three industry awards in two weeks

For the third consecutive year, the British industry journal Claims Magazine named ARAG’s UK subsidiary ARAG plc “Personal Injury Insurance Provider of the Year". The company also won for the second year running the "Legal Expenses Team of the Year" at the Underwriting Service Awards organized by the leading insurance publication Post Magazine. As the icing on the cake, against strong market competition, they also scored highest out of all 13 winners across all categories scooping the prestigious "Underwriting Service Awards Team of the Year" for the first time.

The annual “Personal Injury Awards” which started in 2008 provides a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the excellence of individuals and organizations across the personal injury claims sector. It is honoring amongst others solicitors, medical examiners, claims management companies, insurance companies and insurance service providers that support people in the process of making and settling claims resulting from personal injuries of all kinds. The "Underwriting Service Awards" recognize top class service and excellence in underwriting and is in its fifth year now. The awards are voted for by brokers and identify the best performing underwriting teams in a variety of business lines before naming an overall winner.

“We are very proud of winning these three awards as they cover both our ATE and BTE divisions. This shows that our expertise in legal protection insurance is unrivaled by any competitor. Our excellent customer service and innovative approach clearly set us apart and we are thrilled that our underwriting performance is so highly regarded by brokers”, says Tony Buss, Managing Director of ARAG plc.

Founded in 2006 and based in Bristol, ARAG plc offers a range of innovative legal expenses and assistance products. Its target audience includes insurers, insurance brokers, and solicitors for which the company designs tailor-made legal insurance products. Risks are underwritten by leading UK insurance companies including Lloyd's. ARAG plc has achieved notable success in both the BTE (before-the-event) and the ATE (after-the-event) segments of the market during its 8 years of trading.
In ATE insurance, the event which causes the injury has already taken place, for example a traffic accident which results in a personal injury or a mistake during medical treatment. Legal insurance policies written “after the event” are intended to cover all costs incurred in connection with a legal dispute, such as solicitor’s fees, expert’s fees and court costs in the event the case is unsuccessful.

On the BTE front, ARAG plc provides both commercial and personal legal insurance products as well as assistance products offering policies for businesses and individuals.
