ARAG ranked among the Best Employers in the US Insurance Sector

The American subsidiary of the ARAG Group ranks among the most attractive employers in the US insurance market: ARAG North America is one of 33 companies that have been selected in a nationwide study as “Best places to Work in Insurance”.

“We are proud to have been selected as one of the best employers in the insurance sector. This award honors our consistent and balanced human resources policy and proves that honest adherence to corporate guidelines can also lead in the right direction and produce measurable results,” notes Dr. Johannes Kathan of the of the ARAG Management Board.

For the first time, the leading insurance magazine “Business Insurance” and the “Best Companies Group” – an independent consulting firm specialized in the analysis of working conditions in specific industries and regions – surveyed the US insurance market. ARAG North America ranked 4th in the category “Best Small Insurers” in this study.

“Our corporate culture and programs that encourage personal growth and professional development were cited by our employees as reasons they believe ARAG is a premier company to work for, explains Cameron Sutton, President and CEO of ARAG North America. “ARAG employees are highly motivated people who contribute to the success of our company on a daily basis. We are honored to receive this distinction,” he adds.

“Best Companies Group” developed a two-stage assessment process for this study. In the first phase, employees at a given company fill out an anonymous questionnaire and the data from the questionnaire account for 75 percent of the overall rating. Then, the company is surveyed as an employer and the points awarded for this part of the survey are weighted at 25 percent in the final assessment.

The overall rating provides a detailed picture of whether and why a company is regarded as an attractive employer. It shows both strengths and areas that offer potential for improvement. The following aspects are considered, among others: How effective are management, planning, corporate culture and corporate communication? How satisfied are employees with their jobs? How committed are they and how do they rate the products and/or services offered by their company? How do they view their working environment and atmosphere, their relationships with superiors, training and continuing education opportunities and the company’s pay and bonus systems?
