Incorporation
ARAG launched a joint venture with the family-owned insurer “Groupe Foyer” in 1990. The market was still young, as legal insurance operations were not legalized in Luxembourg until 1969. But this type of insurance was soon firmly established in Luxembourg.
Growth and development
In April 2006, the company was renamed Foyer ARAG, with the Foyer Group holding 90% of all shares.
